Although many companies ship dangerous goods below the minimum level which requires them to have an allocated dangerous goods officer, there are still regulations on the transport of dangerous goods and therefore companies need to be aware of their obligations.

In this one-day seminar, we highlight the responsibilities that you have under the dangerous goods law. Also, we share with you the legislation that is responsible for the majority of the fines in Germany so you can be proactive in avoiding these costs for your business.

Course Criteria

The course will enable you to understand:

  • The legal basis for the transport of dangerous goods
  • Procedures for the transport of dangerous goods
  • Duties and responsibilities according to GGVSEB/ADR load securing
  • Activities within your company that are relevant to dangerous goods
  • Advice on handling lithium ion batteries in accordance with the hazardous goods regulations

You will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in these areas to complete the course successfully.

Course Certification

Delegates who attend the full duration of the course will be issued with a “Certificate of Attendance”.

Prior Knowledge

The course is designed for all supervisors and persons in charge who have responsibility for dangerous goods, as well as recipients, transporters or consignors, who handle dangerous goods without exceeding the 50 t/a minimum.

Please note, internal transport is not part of the dangerous goods law, but falls under the Hazardous Substances Ordinance.
