A new inspection reporting tool developed by SGS has been implemented in Germany to enhance our services to clients in the oil and chemical industries. Currently, SGS Germany is using it for all products in these industries, except bitumen and gases.
The new tool will enable improved communication with our clients and within our own network, allowing for greater efficiency and traceability. Benefits of the new report format (see example here) include:
- Modern calculation tools for greater speed and improved accuracy of field measurements
- Standardized formatting, so clients do not receive irrelevant data and data comparisons are simplified
- Electronic data exchange and electronic file storage for increased sustainability
We are deploying this reporting tool around the globe. It is currently undergoing improvements to make it suitable for additional operations and product types. During the gradual rollout, in some locations, SGS will use the previous reporting system in parallel with the new one.
