ISO 14001:2015 Update – New Publication Date: May 2015

The first Committee Draft (CD) of the revised version of ISO 14001 was issued in March 2013 indicating a planned publication date of January 2015. The road to publication of new or revised ISO standard is often be long and not entirely predictable so it was not a complete surprise that following the fifth International Standardisation Organisation (ISO) Working Group meeting in Botswana in June, a revised schedule was announced that will culminate with publication of the standard in May 2015.

The revised Schedule is:

• Committe Draft 2 - November / December 2013
• Draft International Standard (DIS) - April 2014
• Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) - January 2015
• Publication of Standard - May 2015
